What is your exhaust setup from the header back?

That really sucks the bumper support was missing. Why would they do that? Did they remove the charcoal canister as well? Mine was missing and the smell gave me a terrible headache. It would also stink up the garage. Keep the updates coming. 8-)

JDM ITR 4-1 header
JDM ITR cat (I think. It’s the shorter one)
OEM B pipe
OEM muffler

Tell me about it. I’m assuming when the car was a shell without a motor it go misplaced or left behind. Yeah I’m a big fan of 100% OEM function so the charcoal canister is a must.

Ah yes, that charcoal canister, never having that disconnected or deleted after I also experienced the same things as Stin1 when i unplugged it for diagnosing issues.

That's my setup as well because unfortunately i"m unable to source a complete usdm itr set up. Though I'm using a jdm b-pipe because the usdm b pipe is too short for the jdm cat. Yours must be jdm as well for that setup or your b-pipe was modified.

Was it a terrible exhaust/emissions smell? Especially when accelerating hard?

I've heard the about smell was worse on the obd1 cars after hard acceleration, but in my case I recall it just smelled like gas, but made me nauseous even just sitting at a traffic light at idle

I would compare it to a heavy unburned emissions smell combined with a BBQ with lighter fluid stinch if that makes sense? The smell makes me understand why it's called a charcoal canister.

I'm always curious about the different ways people deal with the secondary O2 sensor (when using jdm cat). What's your setup with that?
