Re: 98-1059 is here to stay
Stopped at Acura today to pickup the remaining parts to have heR get back on the ground
Brakes just about back together
Seeing the ITR unit is discontinued, I scooped the EM1. I’m going to find some brown heat shrink and replace the black.
That other 1%...
Now the bumper can go back on properly
Freshly NH-0’ed RDOT
OEM Acura wheel lock kit to go with the OEM lugs
Discontinued 98 checkered GSR mats
Filing and bleeding the cooling system. First time starting heR at night which was nice. It allowed me to notice the two 194 bulbs and plate lamps out in the rear

Yeah the more I look at it it isn’t either USDM or JDMDave7CDMTYPER wrote:Looks like a magnaflow or something like that.

Your axle is not all the way in the half shaft.Sp00nFedFilms wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 6:37 pmPaulMc wrote:That's my setup as well because unfortunately i"m unable to source a complete usdm itr set up. Though I'm using a jdm b-pipe because the usdm b pipe is too short for the jdm cat. Yours must be jdm as well for that setup or your b-pipe was modified.Sp00nFedFilms wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 10:06 pm
JDM ITR 4-1 header
JDM ITR cat (I think. It’s the shorter one)
OEM B pipe
OEM mufflerTo be honest. Maybe it’s not the JDM cat the more I think about it. To me it just looked shorter. Maybe aftermarket? They used the sensor in the rear.Dave7CDMTYPER wrote:I'm always curious about the different ways people deal with the secondary O2 sensor (when using jdm cat). What's your setup with that?Sp00nFedFilms wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 10:06 pm

And yes. They made some modifications before the B pipe to help with length. Also I made a 3” extension in the rear.

Cat is definitely aftermarket. Did that bumper come painted?

Thought so. The box in the photo threw me off. The bumper I just got didn’t come painted. Your car is really coming along nicely! We need to restore these cars before all the parts are gone

I've been trying to buy the last few things I would need for an exterior restoration.
-Roof drip moldings
-Door sashes
-Windshield moldings

Re: 98-1059 is here to stay
Received a package yesterday from Cris over at iRunOEM (Express Acura Parts). Usually I get all my OEM parts through my works dealership account due to cost. He has been very competitive price wise and able to locate parts my local dealer has told me are discontinued. Here’s the most recent order
Started with the upper steering column. It’s so nice seeing brand new plastic installed in the car that I had to rush and order the lower column cover. You don’t realize how trashed they are until you see your old next to new.
Good excuse to remove the tails and detail behind them
What’s in the box?
Once again, brand new plastic! Replaced this on my EM1 as well and let me tell you. It’s probably one of the best low key parts you can buy. Makes such a difference when installed.
