THE GOODS HAVE ARRIVED!!
(2) C5 blocks rebuilt and brought back to 0 miles. Micropolished both cranks, cleaned all the rods, cleaned 1 set of pistons, 1 new set of pistons, all new rings, and re assembled to factory spec. The RDOT block will join the RDOT trans, to go with the '97 stamped head.
Things are coming together!! We will keep kicking, i think i can see the light...
Stay tuned.

That looks awesome. I apologize if you mentioned this earlier in the thread, but can you tell me who did your rebuild, and did you have the cylinders bored 0.020 over or resleeved?

We did not oberbore or sleeve. Motors were in great shape, we just did a steam/hot tank, micropolish to cranks, new pistons and rings, and honed the walls so they are cross hatched all nicey nice .
Thanks! There is not another caR, but I have a few C5's so wanted to have 1 other fully refreshed engine besides the one going in the '97. The others can stay as is as they are lower mileage swaps anyway.... another caR.... That's a good idea!!

HOYOOO!!! Not 100% sure if these are the right bolts for the bracket, but the lines are cleaned, and reinstalled in the caR.
Its... starting... to look...... like a caR again!!
What we ended up doing for the brake lines I couldn't find new OEM was to get the lock nut backed off the flared end and moving easily on the exposed hardline. We then used thin painters tape and taped the flare and as far as we could up the line. Then we snuck the lock nut OVER TOP of the thin layer of tape I just put down and taped up the rest of the line above the nut. We then took multiple sanding, grinding, and cleaning tools and cleaned up each line and lock nut. Once they were cleaned I used brake cleaner on all the covered lines and cleaned em up real good. We then sprayed a thin layer of clear coat on the lock nuts so they hopefully don't get rusted and pitted again!! Had to give a little helpful bend back into place on some parts, but nothing crazy.
Also started cleaning up the brake booster. Anyone think it's a bad idea to re-use the OG booster? It looks to be in good shape... I don't know if it sitting unused or moved in years is gonna go south on me as I drive it down the road. LOL.
