For these fittings, you might want to get yourself a Knipex plier wrenche. They grip tightly to prevent marring up fine finish parts.

Just had to drop a thank you for this. It was great advise. I finally picked up a pair (I went with the 7") and have been using them on just about every thing. Many of the AN -6 fittings\adapters have turned out not to be standard and these have worked fantastically for everything!

I am still making hoses with the dedicated wrenches since they are broader and distribute force a bit more and fit the Fragola ends I've been using well, but I bet the Knipex pliers would work fine for that too.

Yeah some times it’s the small things that make me smile.

Couple updates as I get things cleaned and put together.

Several of the stays and other parts suffering corrosion have been discontinued so what I can’t buy new had been stripped down and at least clear coated.

It took way more work than I had hopped to go from

Fuel filter brackets and prop valve need to be cleaned up yet but wanted to make sure hardlines were located properly.

I also fought and got the brake lines pretty close where I want them so even though it doesn’t look like much progress it’s feels like some pretty significant steps.

Pretty minor but put the hood prop on which makes working easier it the bay a lot easier.

I was thrilled that I was able to get the SI vapor line end straightened to align with the ITR original. Seems to be a great replacement for the no longer ITR line (this also did require removing 2” from the center of the line)

More hardline spaghetti and a shot of the filler neck mounted up.

Do you know if any of the stays and the big black plastic run protector piece for the evap and fuel lines under the car were still available?

Not much of the Evap stuff is still avail. If you mean the hard lines covers that run under the length of the floor pan. I believe that's discontinued as well....but I may have a unique update on this eventually.

Let me know. I’m getting ready to replace my fuel and evap lines since they’re cut
