Hello Everybody,

Well, its hard to sell a car with a bad fuel pump. That will teach me for not completely draining the fuel tank. Something else to do when you purchase a car from Japan. Anyway, after some help from members I had the part number for the ITR fuel pump. However, it turned out to be $400 American before shipping. Moreover. when I was checking on the EK9 website they noted that the Walbro pump had a 255 LPH flow rate which was better than the stock pump and many members said it could be used in either the ITR or EK9 CTR. Moreover I was able to buy it with shipping for less than $150 CDN. The model number is GS342 model. I checked on ebay and ordered one. It arrived in less than a day and slipped right in. The quality seems to be very good.

I have had my car up for awhile on Kijiji and while I have some interesting offers, no deal so far. By the end of the month if it has not sold I am thinking about trying Bring A Trailer. Has anybody tried this platform, and if so what was been your experience?

If you can get oem wheels, momo oem steering wheel, and jdm recaro seats, I think that would help a lot with your sale. Might want to do some things like that, and add other oem parts if possible, before submitting to BaT.

He is correct ^ The asking is high in my opinion but I don't know the market well. It's ironic that the race base has AC but it sure is nice in the summer time.

If you are on Instagram perhaps chat with @woooster as he has a pair of EK9 CTR in Calgary. He will know the market really well.

I don't have the CTR numbers in front of me, but the race base might be a bit more rare of a find. To me, that is a nice perk.

The EK9's Race Base is probably worth better documenting here. Prior to your purchase, I had never heard of it. Build numbers would be icing on the cake (if Honda recorded such- doubtful given they didn't record DC2 badge numbers.)

I can't speak to specifics on price or BaT, as I'm not experienced, but documenting the rarity of the car prior to listing and then pointing to the documentation will only help.

Hello Everyone,

If only I had a dollar every time somebody told me/ write to me that this car should have a red interior or a different steering wheel or white wheels or tinted back windows I could buy a nice dinner with a number of large adult beverages. Someone, of indifferent intelligence, once informed me in a brilliant response to my ad (see below) that he would only pay 9k because it would cost around 20k to replace the missing pieces.

True, good point. I do know that race base was a real thing. But why not add some of those actual more "race" type oem parts? Seems like a win/win.
