Ooh glad to see the you're back on creating the replica lips, I remember your pictures from a few years back. I think they'llbe a big hit especially with how bad the other replicas seem to fit and look.

How cool.
Demand is great for the OEM ITR lip, and should help the community greatly and hopefully give you that second income.

I can confirm:
-Original Comptech 97 lip is no longer made and mold was lost. Much (all?) the Comptech IP was acquired by
Heeltoe Auto, who will be sponsoring Type R Expo next year.
-OEM 97 lip is also discontinued.
I'm still hoping someone remakes the original Realtime Racing front lip + splitter design.

Interesting - I talk to one of the original Comptech engineers somewhat frequently and he recently said he has recently acquired all(?) of the Comptech IP and is starting to remanufacture NSX parts under CT Engineering, but unfortunately he has no plans for Integra parts to be repopped. I'd be interested to know the whole story with Heeltoe...
I can also inquire about the specifics of manufacturing designs of original Comptech parts that aren't getting repopped and express that there is interest... He had a hand in designing the ITR Icebox and was giving me some dirt on the design process (sacrificing engineering principles for cost) just the other day.

The comptech lip I have was a partnership with wings west. I see VIS still lists a 97 Type R lip, though with the wrong image. Could be from same mold?

Mine came with double-sided tape

Is it a sturdy mount/fit with the double sided tape?

It’s a snug squeeze. Will easily stay in place without tape. There’s a picture of it on my old LS in the first page or so of my build thread.

Thank you! I'm for sure trying again.. life goal status ha. Would be amazing to actually make parts for the honda community on the side. I for sure want to get into making front lips/ skirts etc.. I actually wanted to do a realtime style lip, basically a milder version of that and the P1.

Thank you! you guys are awesome.. Great motivation
If somehow that comptech lip can make it in my hands, I will make a mold and try to add the bolt on support to it. I would just copy the bottom half of the bumper, or 3d print some tabs to include in the mold process? I can try at least!
Oh and the link I sent to the mode parfume was just another option seeing the 97 itr lip cant be found.. I've always like the mugen" one also.
Another angle for you guys.. ignore the gel coat bleed through, Idiot me. But it's a beta lip anyways, Will seal this one up later this week and show the process. Maybe youtube?
