Just to update this thread, being paranoid about the temps for the track in Florida, I decided to swap out my denso oem replacement with Koyo V083146. With the stock fans and JDM 4-1 header and heat shield clear without any issue

My koyo worked fine with stock fans, but had to tweak the shroud to work with my Toda rep header. Switched to Spal fans and have plenty of clearance.

Koyo with OEM shroud looked good but when driving over time dug into AC compressor line fitting.

I had a similar thing happen to my AC line while using a Koyo and OEM fans. It was a rough discovery (hot summer afternoon, stuck in traffic on way to GingerMan) when the AC failed to work.

I replaced the line and the fans with slim Spal fans. No issues since then.

Guess is time to pull the dremel to trim that part of the shroud. Mine is also touching that part of the ac line
