Great story and pics! I hear you about buying the 97 despite the shaved engine bay. I was not going to pass on my local 2001 because of a few issues. These cars were affordable and many were modified and driven hard.

I am curious what kind of racing you are doing that allows 15x8 but not an increase in HP?

Just my local road coarse series, small town thing. Our classes are divided up just on a power to weight ratio. No points for mods, run as much or little aero you want, run whatever DOT approved tire. The people that attend keep it pretty competitive, as the times are not too far from each other in each class. It seems to work, but the way my car is set up, racing else where would put me right into a limited or even unlimited class with my baby WHP.

I remember this build from the other sites. I don't know if you had the pics on any other site that still exists but if you do the following link will allow you to see the photofukit pictures using google chrome.

This one has a couple other fixes too. I know the chrome one works.

All the sites I used died :(
Thanks for looking out though. I think I had most of the pictures saved from the computers I was using to upload them from.

Appreciate it.

My friend finally uploaded the in car GoPro I used last week practicing at the track during an open lap day. Went 1.5 seconds faster than my PB practicing, and hopefully I can do the same or better this weekend during the event.
The first lap in the vid was my fastest lap of the day:

Wish we had more of a track Honda scene here. Would really love the competition. You should definitely consider Super Lap Battle despite the drive. Buttonwillow is a great benchmark track.
Hey, who are you!?!?

Not that I focused on racing in a specific series, but it is the only one that is within margin to my locality. I suppose I could hit up Wilcox, which I do plan on trying out, but I can barely make all 6 races here at ASR. Hitting up Buttonwillow for SLB is definitely a huge goal for me, but most likely wont happen any time soon

So last night when I uploaded the pics on the last update from my personal computer they looked good. Now at work they came out like shit. Anyone else seeing crappy pictures?
I had a post up on old forums, but I'm not really active on these much. I drove the J32 hatch at Buttonwillow in 2016 and 2017. The "Guess Work" Civic...lol. I also have a 97 with a shaved bay but JDM front end. Will be running it at GridLife series this year with the ITR as I'm switching to a RWD platform this year and will need a few years to get a proper build together.

Sorry I misunderstood your question originally... The local track is called Arroyo Seco Raceway, so we call it ASR for short. I did not mean the ASR suspension parts, and when you mentioned ASR I thought you had been to Arroyo Seco Raceway.

I saw your civic at Buttonwillow SLB this past November. Wish I would have known you were on here, and met you in person. Be sure to make posts with the 97 and the Gridlife experience!
