who said I wanted entry level

I ended up going with the Toyo RR. Reasonably priced and seem to have more grip than the RC1 from what I have read. Should hopefully last longer than something like the BFG R1/R1S. I just need to get my alignment on point.

Would love to hear some of you experienced guys feedback on this listing of R comps grip level and wear:

Nt01 is a great tire with great grip and longevity. Had some shoulder wear at SOW. Needed some more psi 38psi hot wasn't enough like nitto says is optimal. At least for my set up

R888 original not the New 888R's were squirmy was a bit disappointed.

Ra1 shaved to 2/32 were great grip was always there and co distant and they wore like iron like most have stated.

Gonna try the RR's next seem like a great tire and no shaving required.

was wondering if anyone could tell me the practicality of mounting a 225/50/15 onto a 6.5 inch wheel. Looking to get more rubber on the road with my turbo build and don't really want to get rid of my spoon wheels.

What tire? Keep in mind, as I note in the original post, actual measurable tire width varies per individual tire. 225/50 is also a less common size.

I see a lot of guys recommending toyo r888r for street use and getting good results with turbo cars. Was leaning that direction or Mickey Thompson ET STREET R tires 225/50/15's

Ah, that is good information. Turbo setups may have different needs than traditional street or track cars. I would check the actual tread width for those two options, and compare.

Any of these performance tires will have (relatively) stiffer sidewalls which will hurt how well they put down power compared to a drag tire. If you're running big power and just doing street stuff, something like the MT may be the best option.

I can't speak to the R888R but the R888 wasn't super awesome. Definitely not something that I'd spend my own money on... maybe the new tire is different? Dunno.

Is anyone aware of current tire deals?
