That would be cool if you get the history sorted out.
If you could give him my contact info that would be great. PM'ed to you. I'd love for someone to confirm my research (& be 100% sure) that I have the badge # sorted before getting one engraved. I bought the oem blank badge a while back, been waiting to finish the restoration. Final step (Other than antique/classic status in 2026)!coolhandluke wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 5:03 pm I don't think Len has been on any boards in several years due to family/kids priority. I can ask him to chime in if there are outstanding questions.
Len is OG and good peeps. As an Acura/Honda Parts Manager, he always stocked common maintenance items before Expo. There were a few times where heads/transmissions/other items were shipped overnight due to Expo incidents.
My car will never be 100% original due to the repair history, so I dont mind engraving a new badge when I am sure I have the correct #. My car wont have top collector value, but thats ok, I wanted a car I could drive to the track and at the track when instructing in my retirement years. What I hated to think about was my original badge riding around glued to a console as the most valuable piece of a riced out civic
shoot man i own a 97 R thats been totaled 4 times lol. i dont really know its past or badge # but i know it drives great and handles awesome even without the front strut bar.. my point is that even though its been previously totaled that doesnt mean it was not resurrected!!! do you know if it was witnessed being crushed or demolished?coolhandluke wrote: ↑Sun Aug 19, 2018 11:45 am Per Len,
