I wager the dealer isn't aware of the badge number significance, ie purely lack of education.

Well I have good news . Two salesmen let me peak inside. I asked my parts guy. He told me they wouldn't even let him inside the nsx. The badge number is 237. The bad news is I forgot if was 00 or 01 and the picture I took of the badge the numerical portion is ghosted out. I can probably easily get that next time . From my picture it looks like 01 mats but I really can't recall the year for certain. The salesman said the owner doesn't work there as well as the parts guy. The parts guy said the owner is friends with the dealership's owner.

Here is my terrible pictures. I took two of the badge and mysteriously only have one and it is useless. I often get that when apple is trying to sell me more iCloud space when I don't want them storing my photos in the first place, and my phone has plenty of space. Smh.

I am going to add this observation. I sat in a yellow itr in the 2000 at the international new car show that comes to Arizona every year and still does . The gear knobs are always stolen from these shows, or more than likely removed. I have seen tons of fake type r knobs that looked terrible. There is a fs ad on here talking about the material the knobs are made of. The US 00 or 01 is clearly to me a different material than the Jdm version. This is the first time I have ever seen a 2000-2001 version that I would know is legit in a car.

I suppose the odo is a tad better than the badge number, not great.
