We (ITRCA) know the last 4 of the VIN given the badge, but we don't know the check value without guessing. Carfax issues can arise, sure. Documentation, receipts, etc. help tell the car's story. Let us know if we can help.
Thank you! That is very kind. I appreciate it.

This car has not yet sold - we aren’t in a huge hurry. I will gladly update when it does. :)

To clear misinformation, VIN is not required to be posted online. This is for the security of the car and owner. Reference to site's rules:

Happy to send anyone a carfax on this car. I waited months to purchase this car and was finally provided pictures and the VIN recently. I was told it had no accidents, the CARFAX says otherwise. The vehicle needs an entire repaint, metal work, wheels refinished, interior pieces replaced, new tires and fresh service. It’s an $18-20k car in my honest and professional opinion.

I figured something was fishy here. Knew it.

I have the carfax for anyone who is serious. All VINs are present and matching. The vehicle does not need an entire repaint, the door has a ding in it (which I am assuming is what he means by metal work), the interior floor mat (driver's side) has a wear mark (the carpet under it is perfect). All service has been done on the vehicle including clutch, radiator, timing belt, and water pump. It's original paint, so there are chips in the paint, but a repaint would be excessive. Look at BAT for pricing references.

VIN presence does not indicate there hasn't been an accident. 1997 Type R's didn't even have VINs on the bumpers. Most recent service and registration was 2017, it needs a fresh service. Tires are old and mismatched. Rear bumper and passenger mirror have been replaced and repainted. Rust in the spare tire area. Windshield is chipped and cracked. The drivers door edge isn't a ding, it is damaged due to impact with another object and needs metal work. CW is hard to match, if you repaint the front bumper, door, side moldings, spoiler, etc. every reputable painter will tell you to repaint the entire vehicle. CM2019 does not own the vehicle nor does she have legal authority to sell this vehicle. The accident will never be removed from the CARFAX history. And yes, check BaT, 1997's with accident history, half the mileage and excellent paint have sold for $23k. BaT sellers also provide the VIN and dozens if not hundreds of detailed pictures with vehicle history.

I have nothing against the seller and even offered her advice on how to store and maintain it, but this vehicle should be honestly advertised to avoid potential buyers from wasting their time as I did. I advised her to take any offer near $20k, which anyone who does their homework knows that is what this car is worth.

I'll let a few pics and the CARFAX speak for themselves:
