Steering rack part numbers:
97: 53601-ST7-A61
98: 53601-ST7-A62
01: 06536-ST7-515RM
vs. None-R:
98 GS-R: 06536-ST7-515RM
I'm on the hunt for a 98 ITR steering rack to rebuild.
The RM is remanufactured in the part number referenced.

I'm running 98 pump and line on my 97. The line fitment to the pump is different. I have photos from a couple years ago when I was working on this part of the restoration. Just an FYI.

Jay, notice any difference between the two in terms of performance or feel?

It's still the original rack, so nothing really obvious yet. I've barely driven the car though (still working on some items).

I would imagine the newer style pump is physically lighter.
One thing, I will never forget is when I picked up a young lady to take her on a date when I was in college in the DB8R. I opened the door for her and she walked to other side and she opened the door looked in and then looked at me over the R's roof with the most confused look... It really lightened the mood since it was our first date and was a funny moment. The rest of the date didn't go well, but at least that part was fun.

First dates are all about just trying to have fun.

Thanks for the response. I might be interested. Hoping to pick up an entire setup from someone going K or removing PS for whatever reason.
