Is there an option to pay at the track? Meaning I would just be traveling up to spectate for one of the days.

I believe spectating is free. And if you want to attend the banquet it’s $50. Which is highly recommended.

Unfortunately I can't make the banquet. I'm close but not close enough. It would be a very late long drive home afterwards.

Spectating is free at Type R Expo. A banquet ticket is paid, but includes dinner, event t-shirt, and prize raffle.

My streak might end this year. My mom's cancer came back and surgery is the day before.

Just booked our rooms and as far as I know the R block is sold out and they won't apply the discounted rate to normal rooms. But I recommend trying hotels.com or another type of site for the same hotel I was able to get a bed with two queens for 89$ a night. Much better than $130 a night.
Shit, I didnt book anything...did the hotel tell you that? Anyone staying at a similar but comparable hotel?
