Looks like a ukdm bracket and solenoid. Was your harness modified to accept the newer style solenoid and black connector plug? Should be old style solenoid still on 98s with gray connector plug from harness. Stock oem usdm bracket mounts higher to the right of where your vin is stamped and is a black L shaped bracket.

Nice car btw and can appreciate what you’re doing!! Also update on AC center vent, shipping from japan late July and is on order. Not Discontinued! I think we tricked the system guys

Good eye. Yes, that is indeed a ukdm sensor (I removed the ukdm bracket thinking I would be able to find a USDM one. Silly me) The reason that it plugs up to my harness is because I actually have an 01 engine harness as well (all came from the same 01 donor ITR with engine)

My plans are to find a 98 ITR engine harness as well as the correct evap solenoid and bracket one day.

In the meantime, here’s some more pretty new parts to install.

I am willing to possibly trade you engine harnesses depending on the condition of yours. Mine is in excellent condition and is not modified in any way. Can be win win for both of us hopefully.

Totally. Text me Kevin...

98-1059 is here to stay

Well this is an issue I’ve never seen before. After selling my 2001 center console to replace it with the correct 98 console, I ordered one for a GSR. Should be the same, right? Am I missing something here?

Picked up another shift boot. I ordered it for a GSR since the 98 ITR is no longer.

Doesn’t line up at all! Way off for some reason. Disappointing. Not sure if the armrest if something else or what.

Image

Unfortunately, the boot doesn’t slide over the knob. Is there a boot available that does?

Image

Also picked up some new mirror caps. Mine were totally fucked.

My right side looks like that because the clip is warped but it doesn't have the gap on that gsr piece on the left.. As stated it's discontinued on our cars. I have considered trying a jdm version .

You missed the thread about the shift boot?

Your armrest console does not look correct. It should not have the impression surrounding the cap that covers the bolts. Should be all smooth. Plus the edges don’t line up maybe a Jdm dc2 version?

Thanks Stin! I just ordered the EM1 boot, looks like it fits great in your caR. I’ll also be trying to replicate the USDM 98 stitching. Appreciate the link bud.

Thank you! I was waiting for someone to see something like that. I’m going to order another 98 armrest.

So after an hour of research I believe my armrest is from a ukdm or jdm Integra. I’ll be hunting tonight for the correct USDM version.
