Just had mine replaced recently as well, along with a new windshield. Nothing better than a perfectly clear windshield.

So jealous of the moldings. Mine has a new windshield installed by a previous owner. Unfortunately they tried to reuse all the moldings so there is gaps and wear.

Super sweet luck these last two weeks. The blower motor in my daily decided to crap out. The exhaust fan in my bathroom also crapped out. I am guessing the bearings aren't used to the amount moisture in the air we have had from the rain here. The blower is the same part as our integras . It's held in by 3 8mm bolts and one plug. Super easy. I had the pleasure of doing this near a nest of killer bees that were taking over my water meter before the water company came to take care of it. Even if your blower is good I would recommend pulling yours and vacuuming the debris out. I will be doing to the rest of my cars. The blower is night and day vs the old one. Dust leaves and feathers were in mine.

Today I planned on going for a 50 or so mile trip in the R . The morning temps were in the upper 60s . I figured it may set that stupid check engine light on. Instead I had to take the daily to my brother's shop for a repair. The b pipe that I put on from the R , the hanger broke off ! What luck!

I was still determined to drive the R . I got 15 miles instead. Oh , and the luck continues. I have that stupid evap code pending again.

Can all windshield moldings be replaced without removing the windshield?

I feel your pain on evap.

After spending hundreds of dollars trying to find my evap code P1457 I borrowed a friends spare C04 ecu (00 01 CDM ITR). No evap code anymore.

Trying to convince him to sell it to me. Of course I will still need the immobilizer removed properly. Someone pulled the immobilizer chip in the past so it throws a CEL for no immobilizer.

The top one the windshield has to come out. The sides clip on . I would change all the clips. Also don't let my former body shop do it or it will go flying off. I have another 98 ecu I can try if the ecu is the culprit.

I wish it was new glass. Just the moldings. I would have done the glass when they removed it. Someone tried to break into the car sometime in it's life and damaged the paint on the roof line by the door. They didn't mention removing it in the quote but later charged me for it when I had it repaired.

So your ecu was the culprit or is that ecu not looking for the same evap equipment?

Yes my original C04 ecu (USDM is A04 for 00 01) is not sending the proper signals to the evap system. All of my solenoids were tested and work properly, no leaks whatsoever with a long smoke test. I have been running a spare replacement and the cel has not come back. Searching way back it is a relatively common occurrance to have the ecu stop sending the correct signals. It is a TSB if I remember correctly.

I suggest you swap in the spare ECU and run it for a while and see if the code comes back. Another option is running a JDM P73-003 ecu which does not look for evap. I have one I will be selling.

Did you have your original windshield removed and reinstalled? Mine is nearly new but I need all new moldings and clips.

Yes they removed it without approval and charged me retail for the center molding when I could have got it for wholesale. They also botched reinstalling my new molding on the driver side and it flew off. It is a Honda windshield. Yes it was removed and reinstalled. I am not sure if it's the original windshield or not. I will say I am very picky about aftermarket glass. Safelite' windshield shield on my hatch stuck out and broke when a pebble hit it from top to bottom. I have found that using the aftermarket glass that is the same manufacturer and the oem molding usually fit pretty well. Oem glass for the front and rear including install on my hatchback I think cost me $1600-$1800 or so . I believe the rear was about $900. The windshield was originally removed on the integra to repair the roofline. Someone tried to break in this car sometime before I acquired it . The run channel was tore up and they damaged the paint near the roof rail.
