not gonna lie, when i saw your painted parts for under the dash i thought to myself "seems a little excessive"
but as I took my ek9 dash out and put it in this past weekend, I saw how rusty (surface, not structural) all the support beams were. And now looking at how rad yours looks, I really should have taken the time to put some paint/prep on mine. yours looks awesome!
also, thanks for your ek dash removal honda-tech post from how ever many years ago that was.

Hahaha this whole build is turning out to be excessive. LOL. Yeah if you were back there and had access you def should have done it! Nobody will see it, but seeing all that rust and orange when you get back there made me go
That stuff they call RUST... That orange tinted, bubbly, cancer like growing metal destroyer makes me lose sleep at night. So I had to refinish em. HOW DO THOSE PIECES EVEN RUST?!? THEY NEVER SEE WEATHER?!?
After you posted this reply, I actually went back and read through that entire post again. Was 10+ years ago now!! WOW. Thread has over 323k views. I've heard thanks from a lot of people for that thread so Im glad it was able to help many including yourself!! I'll never forget my Mom coming home and the look on her face when she saw the entire dash missing and all the wires.
Thanks for the comment and making me read back through that.

My wife and I had our baby girl a week early which was when we had planned to get the engine sent out. We are now back on track to hopefully drop off end of this week so work can be completed!
I was able to get into the garage a little bit this weekend and started the task of the brake lines... Lets just say im
VERY optimistic with how things are progressing. I had an idea in the middle of the night and i think it is going to work out very well.
I don't want to spill the beans yet, but I think we are lookin good.
Real good.
Once these lines are up and buttoned up, i think we will be full steam ahead with assembly!! The rest of it is mostly clean and re-install! the excitement and the warmer weather is making a lot easier sneak into the garage.
Stay tuned.

This car and acklander's build are pure gold. What did you end up doing with the lines?
