Falken RT660 update:

Was able to run them on a nice track day, and they did really well, four 20 min sessions and they didn't get greasy. I was running 28 psi up front and 33 in the rear.

I have never tried lower PSI in the front. I will give it a go. Good to hear the RT660 didn't get greasy!

And to confirm RE71R is also discontinued in Canada. I got them at Costco for years and am sad to see them go. I have a good set on stock rims and a spare 75% set left to use for now.

They handled the lower pressure nicely, big thing with the RT660's is to break them in on the street, a few hundred miles/kms and then take them to the track, I had about 300 kms of highway driving to gradually bring the temps up and cycle and another fellow did some street driving and then the track and he had issues with the center rib delaminating

On the RT660, MotoIQ did a test on them on their GSR project car, B13 Sentra SE-R and an FRS

For those interested, here are some reference pics. Wheels are Desmond Regamaster EVO II, 16X7 +38 with probably some of the last Bridgestone RE71Rs, 205/45/16, Discount Tire had available. The R is only about 1" lower than stock and the camber arms are all the way out to get as close to zero degrees camber as possible. The front sits a couple of millimeters outside of the fender but with a bit of negative camber, may be more visually pleasing...but not a gross amount. The rears are pretty perfect and flush, maybe even a couple of millimeters inside the upper fender arch as it sits. IMHO, I thought the 16X8s would definitely poke and any larger tire like the Falken RT660 and RT615 or the Toyo R888 will stick out for sure. Just my two cents though. As you can see they clear the Spoon Twin Blocks with room to spare. Hope this helps someone in their decision making. Happy driving

I just updated the 245/45/15 section with two new options.

If anyone running an FK8 has input of if there are additional 16'' updates for DC2's, I welcome feedback.

Apparently the Dunlop Direzza DZ102 in 195/50-15 has been discontinued. I no longer see it on Tire Rack or Discount Tire sites. I checked with an independent tire shop in town and they looked it up and their supplier no longer carries the DZ102 in that size. A month ago Tire Rack had a clearance of "old new stock" 195/50-15 DZ102s with a 2016-2017 manufacture date.
