Very misleading caR...I'm sure BAT would only fetch high 30s. No need for everyone to check their savings acct this week. Also non a/c car as well, also to note...spark plug wires seem to be non oem, surface rust on the header manifold bolt doesn't look consistent with the bolts on the radiator bracket support. Usually they are very consistent. Radiator support bolts look to be "flawless"

97 USDM Type R’s came with vin identification tags on every panel. Check the last one that sold on BAT, you will see them. I’m sure members here with 97’s can chime in and verify as well.
After hearing the updates, they’re shooting for the stars and hoping the one owner, low miles will command a big price tag. Repaint, rust and replaced panels, I hope the buyer understands what they are really getting.

I hope the buyer looks at this thread. Glad we have it tagged with Vin number and badge number. Wish those sites had comment sections.

if this car was originally Canadian, it won't have the VIN tags. For some reason 97 Cdn ITR didn't come with VIN tags. Unless someone can show me one, because I have never seen one. Also if it was originally registered in Quebec, there is a possibility of kms being tampered with. I think it said somewhere that this car was imported.

The car was registered in ISSAQUAH, WA. I went on BAT and all the 97 models I saw none had vins that were visible and ill be honest I didn't look at these photos too much but with all of the things you guys have pointed out I would love to stand in front of the car and see the actual condition.
I could see someone asking this kind of money for a truly mint untouched well maintained example with similar mileage.

The shift knob should have a chrome ring that attaches to the boot. It's either missing or the incorrect boot. Hard to tell pretty grainy photo.

I see the vin tags now
Definitely couldn't see them on my phone.
Wondering what the dealer paid for the car or if its on consignment.
Even on the dealers site the pictures are very limited.
