Is this list for the Spoon Twin Block or Spoon Monoblock calipers?

Are you researching Mono or Twin Block information? The community has submitted clearance information over the last 20yrs. I presume the majority of clearances are Twin Block, since that is what the majority ran. Several in the community run Mono Block though.

Pretty sure this is twin block.

Im about to install monoblock calipers and unsure what size spacer i’ll need for stock jdm 16” wheels...

Also have a set of TE37 in 16x7 +42... unsure if those will clear monoblocks.

An lame update on my side, I got my calipers a few weeks back, but I haven't had a chance to test fit them with my 4x100 15x7 +42 SSR Type Cs just yet. It's been unbearably hot in Florida, I go out to work on one thing, by the time I finish that, I am too tired to test fit the brakes

Apparently GSR blades clear per this instagram post, https://www.instagram.com/p/B1k85v6H7nY/

Encouraging that a stock wheel clears without spacers which would be perfect for street use.

I would appreciate help from the community to document. That will remove any guessing. For now I would assume this list is Twinblock unless noted.

I'm told Monoblocks will not clear. ICB sells a kit that includes a new caliper bracket and 2pc rotor will allow clearance.

For those with 4x100 I can confirm that with a 15x7 +42 offset the ssr competition/type c will not clear spoon calipers without a 3mm spacer. It is a really tight fit with the 3mm but it clears and the wheel spins without issues. The inner spoke is where the it hits the caliper without a spacer, just barely

Some pictures.

Thank you for sharing, now I'm curious on the differences between:
-4x100
-4x114 (96' DC2 and CH1)
-5x115

We don't have 5x114 measurements for 15x7 +42 SSR Type C's to compare.

From what I know, the 4x114, 4x100, and 5x100 SSR Type C/Competition seem to share the same blanks based on the markings on the wheel identifying those bolt patterns. I don't recall seeing any 5x114 marking on them, but I can double check later when I get home. But almost every picture I see of a 5x114 Type C in 15in I see, the hub area of the wheel looks larger than the 4 lug model to accommodate the wider bolt pattern.

I recall the ITR also have a wider track of about 5mm on each side which accounts the differences between the 4x100 and 4x114/5x114 hubs. My guess that is why the type c clears the 4x114 cars and not 4x100 cars using Mini cooper rotors.

I remember the track width, standard integras have a +45 offset, and ITRs have +50 offset. The car on NWP4life that had the 4x114 setup had +42 15x7 SSRs. Playing with fittment calculators, that same +42 15x7 SSR sits further in on a 4x100 car by about 5mm, so a +37mm offset would clear for sure. To be safe on stock studs, pray that a 3mm spacer would clear lol.

But this also explains why I remember on the old forums there was a group buy for the +35 and +38 15x8 TE37s, as the +38 te37 in 5x114 is very similar to the +35 4x100 te37 in offset and would poke out a lot less.

There might be different clearances for 4x100 cars using redrilled prelude rotors too as the 11in accord/itr brakes need to have the bracket milled to work. So my weird calculations may be very off...but was also why I had a feeling the wheel was either going to barely clear with/without a spacer

I guess the summary is for most 4x114 and 4x100 wheels is if they come out of the same original wheel blank, offset needs to be accounted for the difference in the hubs for using Spoon calipers of about +-5mm when selecting wheels.

Correct me if I am wrong

Update with a 3mm spacer while rotating the wheel in the air did not have issues, on the car and driving, it kind of scratched the caliper. A 5mm spacer will probably be better
