OEM pads, fluid (will bleed and flush a bit in a week or two, presently ~850 miles and I had the brakes smoking once (on purpose) a couple weeks ago (break-in/testing).
The ability of this suspension to absorb road imperfections and even patched roads (here in NE Ohio), is phenomenal (even compared to the Moton 3-ways in my recently sold ITR), and I figure there may be a reason the Honda engineers made these choices (we'll see).

More like ~ $ 1,075 ea. or something, but I got a discount from the dealership I bought the car from (@ MSRP).
Same with the spare front rotors and F/R pads.
Plus those tires, and some snow tires for the 20's on order locally (don't ask).
But hey, what's money for!
P.S. Have spoken to Jeremy at FASTtech about an AiM CAN interface for the CTR and will let you guys know when they get it together (additional "channels" for some of the things the CTR systems do over and above other Hondas).

Been really debating about picking up a CTR. But the hype mark up and this possible overheating factory issue makes me want to wait for the 2018 model.
The late 90's hardcore honda guy in me still has a issue with the on and off R spec toggle and the tech in the car. Always been a fan of hard-core drivers cars with no compromise.
But it would be nice for those that daily the car. I'm happy to see honda get there balls back. The car does perform well in factory trim. I'll just keep an eye out for the right deal and give 01-964 some company in the garage for once.

Regarding cooling issues, I don't think its a cause but the exhaust "manifold" and transmission cooler both use engine coolant. Seems like its a heavily worked system.

A friend of mine just acquired a black CTR and brought it out to our lapping day yesterday. Short track that eats brakes and not enough straight speed for proper cooling. Two laps in and bam, overheating. If you short shift and pump the heater it seems to help so perhaps it is a kinked hose or something.
Another note were the tires. Fucking condoms on a 20" wheel is a no-go. They showed wear right on the Conti writing as the tires were folding over. They even look like they are stretched onto the wheel. Other than that, the car looked and performed good.
Good to read that the cooling issue is an item that Honda knows about and hopefully addresses. Going to a smaller wheel with a taller tire/fatter sidewall should really help. Did someone say TE37's on the new CTR? That's what I'm pushing for him but we'll see.

I only get 10-12mpg highway with my truck. But my payload capacity is a bit higher
