The previous owner located me from a picture of the car on the superstreet website in an article about the 2018 Eibach meet. I obtained 2 photos of the car from the day he bought it and while swapping out the front face. I have the original bumper, hood, fenders, bumper support and side skirts (all with matching vin numbers). Looking at these pictures makes me wish it was back to it's original condition.

So cool that the owner kept the front end and that you still have it. I would want to put it back on as well. Are you considering it?

I have been thinking about it. I have been eyeing headlights as they come up, to buy a cheap set. Would also need a used front lip. Looks like the bulkhead is still available from acura. Also I am not really sure what parts I will need to make this work (bulkhead related). I have considered stripping the front over the winter while in storage. My biggest concern is locating a bodyshop that would understand what I want done and to do it right. So many thoughts to organize, but yes, I do want it done at some point.

I participated in my first autocross event on Sunday. It was a blast! I got nine runs out of the day and got help from a friend with a RHD crx. I felt a slight advantage being able to ride along in the crx and see the course from the driver position. Everyone was very friendly and I can't wait to go again. Being able to finally put the ITR through the ringer give you a greater appreciation for the car. Unfortunately there were no action shots taken, only still.

The was tuned locally yesterday. The car feel much better, with a noticeable increase in the mid range. This should be nice for the next autox meet. The tune was done using an obd1 ecu and neptune as platform. Vtec was changed to 5150 rpm. Several options were used, including launch control, a/c clutch cut off and theft deterrent codes. Below is the dyno chart of the final run vs oem ecu and the current state of the engine bay.

Did you raise the redline or did you keep the stock redline?

The above graph is cut off at 8300. Shift light comes on at 8200. I think redline was kept at the stock location but began to level off at 8200.

It’s awesome that you have the number matching front end and a PLUS that it’s in great condition! And congrats on your first event, it’s always good to see these caRs actually being driven.

I hope you don't leave that car unattended in parking lots. Right now we are looking for a missing purple gsr. Broad daylight 3pm it went missing out of dudes driveway. Really cool that Neptune or your tuner has theft codes . I don't think that will help much...Back to the car. She looks great and I bet that was fun. Your power is right on a old graph I just found of mine and my friends. Probably the same type dyno.

Thanks.
The car stays fairly secure when in public. I agree, if someone wants its gone they will have it despite internal protections. It was a feature offered by neptune, so I agreed to utilize it. It was a Mustang brand 2wd dyno.

Thanks. I dont think I would have bought the car if the parts were not there.
