Thank you for those that have helped via feedback. I would like propose an alternative to San Jose:

Acura Corral at Laguna Seca during IMSA Weekend, 9/14-9/15. A unique opportunity has recently been presented:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=760

I support:
-Saturday 9/14
-Sunday 9/15

This would provide:
-Location/Space (Laguna Seca Coral)
-Safe Parking (Coral)
-Entertainment (IMSA racing)
-Food (Laguna Seca vendors)

It also supports Acura, who traditionally have not supported this community. A strong showing could get the Type R community back on Acura's radar as they claim to be shifting back towards their "Precision" roots.

Yes and yes. This is the same Corral where fancy pcars/others will pay to park during the Monterey Historics Race at Laguna Seca. Depending on your LA location, it is only 5.5+hrs- just a few more hours over Buttonwillow for a bettery track and scenery. I've driven I5 enough to know its boring but a straight shot and I'm sure you're savvy on avoiding LA traffic.
