I'm shopping quality hoses for the new house. I'm taking notes in case others will benefit.

Goals:
-Upgrade garden hose to reduce kinking/pinching
-Quality reel to reduce annoyance of getting hose out & returning to its home
-Upgrade fittings to reduce leaking at faucet & pressure washer

From reading, here are some tips from my research:
CarWashCountry.com wrote: Advantages of commercial-grade hoses for washing vehicles
-Won’t kink like cheaper hoses.
-Stronger, and more resistant to wear and tear
-Less prone to leak
-Can be used with pressure washers unlike garden hoses

Here are some common materials you may see:
-PVC (or plastic)
-Synthetic rubber
-Rubber
-Polyurethane (newer material)
More recs:
-Opt for 5/8'' over traditional 3/4'' consumer garden hoses to reduce weight

Garden Hose Options:
1.) Obsessed Garage: https://www.obsessedgarage.com/collecti ... 9093915720
2.) Flexzilla off Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/Flexzilla-Gard ... 65-7181900

Hose Reel Options:
1.) Eley Free Standing Garden Hose Reel Model 1042

A year in I am still struggling with leaking power washer fittings for a foam gun setup, despite buying a new full kit from an a vender who claims to be obsessed about such details. The new power washer always leaked massive water at hose connection, despite teflon tape efforts, and the boom started leaking from the wand after only four washes, so I've only been hand washing.

I'm back to researching fixes, my three issues are:
P1- Leak at garden hose fittings to faucet, currently using obsessed spec quick disconnects that never sealed.
P2-Leak at hose to power washer using kid quick disconnects
P3-Leak from wand to boom, started leaking shortly after purchase (appears to be o-ring failure)

P1 & P2: Potential fix, replacement fitting set:
Low end: https://smile.amazon.com/Twinkle-Star-P ... B08HDJ9MS7
*21 for a full set
High end: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08 ... =UTF8&th=1
*$40 for a full set from a trusted MFG (MTM) but still made in China
**Risk: Amazon is known for counterfeits these days, reviews indicate this item is affected

P3: Potential fixes:
A3a: Replace O-ring: https://www.obsessedgarage.com/products ... 7533911112
A3b: Worst case, bad quick disconnect fitting at
Possibly bad boom fitting: https://youtu.be/7_HIKhI34Gw
Replace: https://www.obsessedgarage.com/products ... eq=uniform
***Need to research higher quality (than obsessed spec) fittings?

I confirmed over the weekend:
-High dollar OG hose is leaking at clamped fittings, ie nothing to do with QD's, confirmed via second garden hose
-QD/o-ring is bad at gun, I confirmed via 40* nozzle into gun (ie wand/wand fittings are good)
-QD from power washer to line from OG was leaking, re-taped & re-torqued

My latest order arrives tomorrow so I can test replacing the gun's QD/o-ring and test.

Got my hose from mtmparts.com and all my fittings and stuff from watercannon.com

Also try and sort out whether your mainline water source has enough pressure as well.

I confirmed last night that this o-ring was bad, as in- it came out entirely. I installed a replacement o-ring but it is a tad too big, ie difficult to get a QD to "snap" into place.

I've reached out to OG on the hose but their support typically takes a business week.
