The state of California is absolutely ridiculous. How does the sticker impact emissions? The emissions or “smog” location should have the diagram if they don’t know how it’s supposed to be routed . These locations are privately owned in California? I worked for emissions place 20 plus years ago. IMO it’s a fraud and cash grab . Smoking cars would pass the im 147 test . $20+ to plug in a DLC on obd2 cars . There was also the crooked group who sold addresses to car thieves targeting certain cars working there. In my state the emissions is somewhat state run but contracted to a third party who does all the tests.Dave7CDMTYPER wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 12:41 pm Ime, this label is definitely mandatory for emissions in CA. I took my R to 3 or so smog places and they wouldn't do it without the sticker.
I dont know. Car has not been repainted, and its the original hood with VIN.Mugen_ITR wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 1:28 pm Regarding 00-1065's emission decal I noticed it said "P73-A03" which is the 98-R ECU designation (IIRC) ... if his pic is a 00-01 PY-R shouldn't it be P73-A04?
Just looking for clarification, that's all ... not going to speculate on the legitimacy of the decal itself unless someone else has concrete evidence.
