I understand many are looking for positive updates in light of worldly events. I will say there has been tremendous efforts pre-pandemic. However, presently some of us in the Expo committee are currently sick or dealing with sick family members, so this week will not be a time one should expect updates. I will also note some race tracks are closed during this time, which would limit any efforts anyway.
Focus on family and friends this week/next and we will update once concrete information is available and contracts are signed.

Totally understand and agree..... I hope all stay healthy and well in the crazy time.
I was just slow at work scrolling and it brought me back here to check in. Not even thinking of organizing a group of people right now is
ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN.....

I dont think there is a single person on this site that would miss EXPO due to the covid19, but I would imagine some of the tracks feel differently about their staff and their well being which is totally understandable.

It's refreshing to see people are still enthusiastic about Type R Expo.

EXPO gives me a chance to hang out with like minded friends sharing the same passion for cars as I do. There isn't a soul there that thinks they are better than anyone else and that's a refreshing attitude to have in a group setting. It's fun to reconnect with friends that you haven't been able to see all year. That's the main reason I came out to VIR last year was to hang out with y'all. Was it hot? Hell yes it was! Did the food suck at the Oak Tree Tavern? Mine did but that's not the point. I got to see Luke, Andrew, Craig, Zach, Ali flew in from the other side of the world basically and I got to see you too Ryan. I drove the MDX around the track with my girl, drove Luke's new toy around the parking lot too. And you know what? I wouldn't hesitate to do it again at a moments notice.

If for some reason Expo cannot happen this year, there are mini expos planned for places like Watkins Glen and Barber with other trackday organizations. It's not expo but still a fantastic time with a few fellow ITR owners. However those events are also in limbo due to the times. So keep checking in here for the latest.

Type R Expo is a community event run by the community (ie volunteers) for the community. If there are areas you would like to volunteer, please PM us.

I fully support attending Type R community events. I want to be clear though, there are currently no plans to cancel Type R Expo. We are monitoring the world events and will update as details are finalized.
