Re: VSM ITR build 01-0388
Had a few days off from work so took advantage and pulled the swap out. Hoping to tear the motor apart next week.
Got a couple of things in for the motor build. Supertech valve springs and OEM valve seals

Looking good
FYI 4piston has a matching CNC port for the manifold you're using

Got some work done on the old motor.
Stripped the long block of most components to prepare for head removal
Head is off and looks to be in good shape!
And a few more pieces to the puzzle

You are making quick work! LawrenceBuilt speaks highly of the Drag Cartel bits.
In a different time I would offer to lend a hand. Enjoy the holiday break and I look forward to more pictures & updates.

Re: VSM ITR build 01-0388
Some small updates...
Got the head back from the machine shop. It was supposed to be just a resurface/inspection but after a vacuum test they found leaks coming from the exhaust valve guides and a small amount from the valve seats.
Went ahead and changed out the exhaust guides as well as got a 3 angle Valve job.
Swapped over the new supertech dual valve springs and the head is now ready!
Also had the K20R flywheel resurfaced.

Re: VSM ITR build 01-0388
Man this thread has been been dead but I promise things are starting to pick back up. Couple of things that have been added...
Picked up a First Molding hood a few days ago. I had my painter set aside some extra paint from when the car was painted, so I will be dropping off the hood to be paint matched. Being I have a bit of CF on the car, I'm gonna have it sprayed over the kevlar section as it would look off in my opinion.
It bugged me that just about all the large holes in the engine bay had a plug except for the ones near the headlights, so I found a grommet that fit nice and snug. I punched a small hole for the headlight harnesses and installed.
K24 block is "set" to ship next week, not holding my breath but praying it finally gets shipped. Will update when it's in.

It's a hobby car. It will always be waiting and ready when you are. As dates get confirmed I'll try to help drop the block. Just supply .
