Re: VSM ITR build 01-0388
Block has finally arrived, 7 months later and it still wasn’t complete with what I ordered. I opened the package only to find that the modded PRB oil pump was missing. Note to anyone out there, KMOD Performance has terrible wait times (was supposed to be a 6 week turnaround) and customer service. Save the headache and go elsewhere.

Ouch! I'm getting flashbacks to my 10mo wait from Rocket Motorsports for my headwork in 2008. I really hate to hear about all the trouble.
I hope the modified pump is a quicker turn around. I recently learned I could no longer recommend a local engine builder, so our options are getting slim. King Motorsports is likely who I'll go with if/when.

Yeah those situations suck, thankfully it's behind us now and the show must go on. Pump came in pretty quickcoolhandluke wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 12:45 pm Ouch! I'm getting flashbacks to my 10mo wait from Rocket Motorsports for my headwork in 2008. I really hate to hear about all the trouble.

Also got the ARP studs installed and torqued down the head.
Came across a small set back as one of the rocker arm assemblies had the roller bearing go bad. Was able to order a set from the dealer so will have to wait for that to come in to get the timing done.

More done on the K24/K20.
Replaced The bad rocker arm assembly
Lower chain guide installed

Oil pan and timing cover on
Waiting on some backordered parts from Acura, will post progress when those are in.

One piece at a time, you are making great progress towards getting this back on the road. I'll do what I can to lend a hand when it's ready.

Looks great ninja! Should have sent the engine to us, just sayin.... LOL but wait time is the same most anywhere. Machine shops are backed up for days. I can t get subaru heads done for 6wks, so I went ahead and purchased then new at the dealer.
