Im using a watered down 409 cleaner and soft bristle brushes for most stuff. Depending what the item is, sometimes I put some watered down armor all plastic cleaner on it also. Im thinking we will do a protective type layer/cleaner in the finishing days......

:D Thank you! The clear brown hose I think was just super hot water and then snaking a towel in and out. It was in good shape, just really dirty.

John worked on wiring last night a bit trying to sort out some of this ECU craziness. I removed the rear panels to start getting all the wiring, belts, and plugs in order.

Can anyone confirm the rear hatch has wiring that connects (2 plugs) in the rear passenger side trunk area?

I then did a bunch of cleaning on some old pieces of plastic that some would call iconic to the Integra.... The smile this puts on our faces here in the garage is pretty big.... :D :D

Previously I mentioned we may have had to remove the dashboard. This was because we forgot to put the windshield wiper motor plug through its port before we mounted the brake booster. **DISCLAIMER** It doesnt fit.... LOL. John stayed late after I checked out and got it wired in. I don't think he removed the dash, looked like he removed the booster from underneath and got it in. Woot woot.

I started a WTB thread in the classifieds and was previous looking for a throttle body. Well I sourced one and when I checked in the garage this morning, I found this!!

God damn does that look good!! I got a new intake arm from IRUNOEM and I have a full intake and resonator... Buttttt I also have an original CT icebox. I want to do the CT for just a little bit of noise, but I think for resto purposes I have to use the OEM..... He also got the rear water pipe mounted, as well as the thermostat housing. Some more things to button up on the firewall still so this stuff is really just mocked up for now. But progress is progress!!

Like an IDIOT i threw out the rubber door frame trim that is disco'd. :o

#10 in the image above... I scoured my entire attic and didnt find them. I was NOT a happy camper... BUT! A good friend Josh who has a few R's and boxes of parts found me a set!! I was super excited to get the text back of a video of him showing them and agreeing to part ways with them.

More and more to come, stay tuned!!

Top and bottom pieces in GREAT condition, front and back heat shields also included but they need to be refinished. Either way, I was super stocked to be able to pick this piece up as it was on my tough find list.

Got some ground lines cleaned up, and plugged in some connecting clips on the harness shock towers. Plugged in a battery pack to the terminals and turned the key. WE GOT LIGHTS IN THE CLUSTER! Woot woot! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Check engine light on, SRS light on, ABS light on. (Nothing is plugged in obvi....) Super stoked to get some signals making connections. I got a pretty decent parts order coming on Saturday. We have a good days work and some more parts to get (Alternator and starter) but after this, we might be able to try to turn this old girl over and see if she runs!! From there its full speed ahead to get it tightened up and back to the body shop.

Stay tuned, more and more to come.

Great work going on in here! Covid-19 is really giving us some free time to work on our cars. Keep up the great progress!

Well ladies and gents... After almost 13 hours of work on Saturday, she came alive at about 2am Sunday morning. It has been 20 years since this caR has had a running engine in it and boy does it feel good. We did checks 2x over before turning the key all the way for the first time and she started right up.

My face upon ignition...... :o :o :o :D :D :D :D :D

I think Rick Flair would be proud of the WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH I let out when we shut it off. To see it all together, running, and getting this close to the finish line is an amazing feeling. We had some things to tighten up as always once it started to get some fluids moving through it. (Water pipe, thermostat, some coolant hoses) but all in all shes ALIVE! We need to do a full run and drain the fluids, clear out any metal shavings from honing/hatching the cylinders and new pistons. We have compiled a list of things needed to finish up the car before it goes back to body for final assembly.

Stay tuned for more updates, we have a date for completion and that is to be on the road, registered, and first drive on 6/23/2020. That date is exactly 5 years to the day from when me and this ol' giRl first met. Back of a flatbed with a science fair in the interior.

First clip is actual very first start. Only 5 or 6 seconds because we had a leak and shut off immediately. 2nd video is 3rd actual turn over.

Did the tip arrive unscathed? I have been delivered 3 smashed because Honda ships them just like your picture. Apparently I am the king of receiving damaged Acura parts. :trophy: A piece of styrofoam to protect the tip . Smh. It was also a pain taking off some of the decals on the b pipe . I can’t believe how Honda ships some things.
