Nice, I was waiting to see this car come up for sale. I’d like to think that it could get inspected and normal title, bonded title, something. And I wonder what the hell the back story is; flat tires, club on the steering wheel, yet looks bone stock and the keys are in it. Looks like the badge is 98-0850, maybe?

Such a shame. 41K miles and branded as a 'Parts Only' title.
Perfect rebuild candidate for a shell like mine IMO. I presume there is a title complication.

Indeed the title issue is a bummer, but it’s hard to look at that car as a whole and wonder ‘what the hell?!’ Was it repo’d? Stored somewhere and the owner passed away/went to jail/disappeared? Auctioned for back taxes or some sort of debts? I am so fascinated by this, and just how weird it is to see it pop up on the auction.

Also, I wonder what the carfax would show on this cars history. Maybe that would help explain

With all the floods across the US now, maybe it is a Certificate of Destruction title?

Incorrect. I did more research on the car, the car was donated to a charity, the charity had IAA auction the car off, but they couldn’t offer any paperwork as the owner was deceased. So therefore the car was sold as for “PARTS ONLY”.

I had seen that auction a week after it arrived and was waiting for it to get assigned a date. I was fully committed to trying to buy it. I was heartbroken when I saw it was a bill of sale parts only status. If you zoom into the sticker on the windshield, you can see it says "Salvation Army". I was so upset because I wanted this car bad. The last I checked it was up to $22k, that is crazy considering you won't be able to title/register the car.

All that said, please someone help me find an ITR! It is a bucket list car for me.
