+1 on this... have you showed it to your master tech after you scrubbed it with emery cloth? You can clearly see the scratches from where it was scrubbed so hard.

Where was your oil seeping out at? Are you sure the oil feed orifice in the center rear of the block above the knock sensor on the deck has a good o-ring inside?

Yes I sent him multiple pictures. Said it shouldn't be any issues. The oil was seeping from the valve cover gasket and glazing down the head onto the block. (Stupid to have done all this now if that was the case, i know... :? ) The valve cover STUDS in the head were not sealed all the way. So when the valve cover was "down" it really wasnt down all the way.

The head is already back on the car with a new head gasket so we will see soon when we get it back running. Few more things to tighten up before we turn the key.

I will check that orofice for the oil feed also, thanks for the idea to check there!

Back together, sealed and triple checked, NO LEAKS   Have had it running for a total of about 15-20 minutes and she is looking and sounding really good, oil is perfect color.

Used an old valve cover for now so new one doesnt get any schmoo on it. Also got the entire exhaust hooked up so she purrs nice and quiet now. Gonna get a good video of it tonight and post. IACV is acting up like a 10+ year old IACV would but its all good! I have a couple I can swap out and try.

Also got in some new parts I just keep looking at :o :o

Got these old thangs cleaned up and ready for install. Pretty cool to remove the grease and grime and out come dates like 12/96 and 1/97

My caR was born on 1/23/97 so it fits the timeline. :D

All brake lines are now mounted up.
ABS lines are mounted up and run to correct locations.
Fuel lines tightened down and into their clip holders. (A few are pretty beat up so I ordered some new ones to swap out) Drained the break in oil and its still a beautiful clear honey brown.
Clutch slave cylinder lines mounted in, just waiting on my reservoir bracket/holder to come in so I can mount it up!
Power steering lines and pump are up next.
Can also button up some more of the rear interior pieces since the ABS clips are in their correct spots.

Some images of the work below!!
