@jayhaire
That's what I figured, being a CDM itr that will make it a bit harder. I'm hoping to narrow it down to a small range, I have some good info about the build date and date of sale which could narrow down the number range.
Car shows a build date of September '97 and sold in January '98. I can send you the vin if you like
Send it in a message to me. I see two requests for Nov 2020. One we knew and responded to. The other we were unable to confirm. CDM badges are a bit tougher in 2000 and 2001. If it's a 97, we have it. If it's a 98, we have ~98% of those.

I submitted a few requests as well but didn't get a response either.
I've got a pretty large list of only VINs I I'm hoping to reconcile one day.
Also, my database only contains USDM ITRs. I can only potentially identify those requests.
Yep, you did send a few. I remember those. It also felt like we were doubling our work. Might be better to work together on it since you were building some info yourself. Let's chat.
I look at my research as verifying what you have. My goal is to put rogether as much of a timeline of each car's history as I can. I'm documenting as much as I can above and beyond the VINs and badge numbers.
I'm literally collecting pics of the actual VINs and badge numbers, previous owners, online posts by the previous owners, lists of mods, and even previous pics. I even found a few previous owners' cell numbers and email addresses. I've reached out to a few and gotten responses.
Hopefully I can help fill in the blanks your database may have.
I'm not surprised more and more people are requesting badge numbers. It's information that can only help with the car's value.

I wholly agree. Provenance is what I value in purchasing a car, whether collector or not, but I'd advocate a higher dollar collector car demands provenance.
I definitely appreciate yourself and others in the community for carrying the torch on badges. After two decades, there are still many questions left unanswered. I intend to continue contributing.

Gentle reminder, this community is run by volunteers within the community. Given how many in the community have been victims of theft and the data sensitivity, only two within our community have access to this database. Their day job and family time come first.

Yeah I totally understand I wasn’t trying to come off ride or in a hurry. Just read something that said there were issues with messages and posts coming through so I thought I’d post a reply. It’s all good tho thanks

It is. I look at all of them but do not always have time to respond quickly. If it's one we know immediately, I'll reply faster. If it's one that we need to research and eliminate possibilities, that takes time. There are some that we do not know at all, and those might have been missed on the reply.
It's a free thing we try to provide for the community.
It's tough to do, especially if we confirm say 80% of the badges while 20% cannot.
