RYAN DONT DO IT.... NOT YET
Was talking with a few of my paint shop buddies and we were discussing clear 3M films to protect fresh paint. They both immediately said wait atleast a year before filming the caR. Paint needs to fully harden and completely cure. I know people will say that waiting a year leaves potential for it to be damaged, but it will screw the paint 10x worse when you peel it or get it redone.

Thanks for the tip. Yeah Ive kinda heard the same thing but was going to reach out to a local shop here that does nice work and see what they say.
As long as rocks and shit arent chipping the paint I dont care too much. I get black rubber chunks flung at the car all session on track so those like to leave all kinds of black rubber smudges which usually come off with some cleaner.
Honestly just happy that a majority of the rust is gone and hopefully most of it wont come back (on the body anyway). If it does come back, it shouldnt be terrible and easy touch up.

Its starting to look like a whole car again! Still have a laundry lists of shit to do but hopefully drop the motor in tonight or tomorrow.
Pretty pleased with the rear quarters, they were f*cked
Decided to do a quickie job on the bay just to clean it up with some fresh NH0
Got rid of the old crusty rear calipers and hubs, one caliper was seized. It spins straight now so hopefully no more vibration/pulsation during braking

Heck yes! The rear quarters (and the whole car) look great. It's awesome to see the car coming back together. Expo bound.

Looks awesome! Love that you gave the engine bay some love too. Getting rid of the rust must be liberating.
Now off to the parking lot you show car stunna!!
