Fast forward 6mo. I towed the car to a place where the guys and I could have fun and make a mess. I was shooting for Eibach that recently passed but when I realized the time I had available and the detail level I wanted from myself didn't meet; I'd have to defer that dream. Somewhere in the timeline, I sold the weds and ended up picking up some temp. jdm 10 spokes as rollers.

Original parts, and a new to me fuel supply line from the homie Brayden (who also has a nice R project going).

Engine bay looks great. Based off your previous thread, I thought the theme would be mugen.

This looks like bay area - who painted it for you? Mind sharing the cost?

:whistles:

I am extremely jealous of how well your bay came out. Your engine reminds me of my build ten years ago. I won an RDOT block at Type R Expo from a sponsor raffle. Those were the days, I didn't keep it clean. :hammer:

Did you document all the AC pieces? I would like to create a thread for those (like myself) wishing to install/reinstall AC. Several items can be reinstalled, where as others, should be replaced.

I have plans for the Mugen bits. I switched speeds when I allocated my second R.

It sure is a pain to find, I'm a nut for the little things I'd say. This was a legit concern of mine hahaha.

I live in so.cal. I apologize, but I can't elaborate on the rest right now w/out some misinformation happening.

Many thanks. There were MANY trips to the JYARD and Local Dealership to find a lot of the parts. Clip by clip I hunted the proper ones down.

Do you have any pics? I'd love to see it. Can't beat a RDOT block, they're just beautiful new.

I did not sir. It's actually pretty straight forward. The only thing that needs to happen really is getting the order correct which is abs before AC, and clutch lines before abs. The components on car are the original. I will be replacing the receiver dryer and expansion valve.

If you guys have any technical questions please feel free to ask, 99% of this was handled in house. I don't mind sharing at all. Just don't ask for build secrets; general info. on the other hand is readily available, LOL

I do, I need to quit slacking a throw up a thread for 98-1040. I have started building a thread but I need to switch/create a photo hosting site. All of my photos are on PB. It's a fun story too. I bought 10x $5 raffle tickets at Type R Expo 8 and drove home with a block. 8-)

Build secrets?

Yessir, will do. I aim to create a "How to Reinstall AC" thread when I do the installation. I have already collaborated with Ali/Devon/others on tips. Next steps are documenting, taking pics, and creating the guide once I confirm I have everything.
