Excellent work on removing the tint, that isn't an easy task. You are making quick work in progress.

When I was an apprentice, years ago, I worked on a mk4 r32 that the rear defroster wasn’t working. I didn’t know this but they had removed the window tint previously and pulled the the strips right off the window. I didn’t notice because the brown primer was still there. I was chasing wires for hours before my journeymen walked up and told me to check for voltage drop across the window,

thanks, that’s where the steam really helped. It loosens the glue in the tint so it peels off easy. I think most people that damage the defroster scraped the tint off with a razor blade.
