Woolite works wonders on those seats. I've used a carpet cleaner with the small hand held attachment to clean my red recaros. They looked brand new afterwards. After comparing the before and after I was kind of disgusted to have been sitting in the seats as they came from Japan.

You used a small steamer attachment?
Can you post your pics?

It's not really a steamer really. It's basically just a small handheld upholstery cleaner that attaches to the main carpet cleaner. It shoots out warm water/soap while a pair of brushes rotates slowly and then the water is sucked out of the fabric with the vacuum end. Takes a couple of passes to completely clean the seats but works well and doesn't appear to damage the fabric.
You can see it in the review here:

My steamer arrived. I couldn’t wait to play with it so I got to trying some easy area.
This is after. No product just steam stream and a microfiber.
Messed around in the bay for a little. Again, no brushes or product.
Lastly, some interior. Vents, door pull handles, and seat belt buckles. I also tried the airbag cover on the wheel.

So won’t be upcoming Type R gathering Sunday I thought maybe it’s time to finally clean up the paint on 98-1059. I’ve prolonged this due to the fact I’ll be refreshing the exterior anyway. But fall in the tristate area is a great time to detail. Not too hot, not too cold. Let’s get to work.
This will be a basic 3 step correction.
Decontaminate.
Polish.
LSP.
A good wash and let her air dry.
Next step to clay the whole car. Windows included.
The wipe down this this. You can always spend the big bucks for CarPro Eraser, or even use an IPA wipe down. I happen to have this left over from doing my EM1.
That’s all she wrote for today. Hopefully get it all finished up for Sunday. I’m not young anymore, nor do I have the time to spend 6-8 hours straight doing this. It’s much more enjoyable doing a little here and a little there anyway. Next step, we’ll be taping the car and begin polishing.
For anyone interested in that NY NJ PA MA ITR meet this Sunday, here’s the low down.

Clocked back in tonight. Time to tape.
Certain areas on not worried about getting compound on because I have BNIB downstairs. Just the essentials.
