I found a old for sale post of the car that was probably 10-15 years old and that code was an issue. I am sure no one has tried to resolve it. The code usually stays out long enough that it passed emissions was the comment I believe.

Still waiting for the new ground wire, I tried cleaning my old one and some of the crud on it would need a deep clean, but the black wire looks good. I think a few of us must have bought it b/c it finally shipped out after ordering it last week 
I ended up using an Acura RL EVAP I found here, sadly it looks different from an ITR and the ACURA TL one you bought, but it mounts up to the firewall area and on my non-R DC4 Vin car, it looks OEM when mounted. I haven't noticed any issues with it, but I haven't tested out an obd2 ECU to make sure. But no funny smells or anything.

It sucks some have to play a guessing game what will work. Honda should help clean our air and produce the valves along with the evap lines again. I cry for type r parts too often. FedEx has killed two type r mufflers and now this! This one is a real heart breaker. Viewers warning. Graphic images. I am traumatized.
