I know the 2 different boots I tried to use we're both too short for my 01 cdm. Needed like another half inch to properly install.. maybe an inch to not be super tight.

Sooo after a extremely long time I was able to locate someone that was up for the project of trying to better replicate the boot as close as possible on the "other board ". Here is the OEM EM1 with a French stitch added by Dillon. It is not spot on , which is cool as none of us need to be sold counterfeit items . Anyway on to the pics . I will probably get it installed this weekend .

Looks good with the French stitch.
Before I picked up the NSX type-s knob and hybrid shifter I planned to use this combo (97 usdm knob w/ em1 boot).
I’ll probably list my set if I stick with the new shifter.

Anyone try retrofitting the red stitch boot with that chrome clip from the SI shift boot? I'd like to mount my 97R shift knob onto the red stich using the correct clip.

It's just a tad too short like the base model integra shift boots.
The problem is towards the front of the boot when installed and when the shifter is in 4th gear. There's not enough length to have the boot loose and so it pulls at the base.
I found you can work around this by just flipping the boot around on the metal frame towards the front. It gives it just enough extra material to make it comfortable.

I ended up returning the knob sadly but I'll remember this if I decide to order one again in the future.
