The tie rods were zinc coated also? NEVER KNEW. WOW. This is just simply unbelievable. What an absolute time capsule. I'm astonished at the quality condition it is in. Absolutely pristine. Wow... Wow... Wow...

MOAR PWEASE!!

To the owner, maybe I missed it but has the car ever been modified other than what you mentioned? Or did it literally just sit completely stock all this time?

Awesome piece of history, thanks for chiming into the community!

Yeah the car has never been modified. It sat original all this time. I did change the tires and a couple exhaust manifold shield bolts because they were corroded, but other than that the car is original.

Collector cars are weird to me, but I may go take a look at thing since I live in Vegas. Just for fun. Stupid clean. :moneyburn:

*Kanyevoice* No disrespect to other thread starters but this thread is the greatest of all time!!!

This could quite possibly be the cleanest, most original, lowest mileage '97 on the planet right now. Thank you bqHonda for chiming in and sharing your story with us. All the racing stuff is pretty neat as well on top of the ITR itself. There are quite a number of us on here (myself included) that I'm sure are geeking out pretty hard right now. While some enjoy seeing these cars in their natural habitat it's nice to know that there are still a few around that have been preserved as they are only becoming more scarce. If anything, the market bump that happened a few years ago has helped in that as most owners are seeing the value increase and don't want to risk the investment. Nothing wrong with that at all. There are still plenty of daily driven, modified, higher mileage, track-focused ITR's around currently so it's nice to know a few are being held in such pristine condition.

Sorry if I missed it but when does this car roll across the block at BJ?

The lot number for the car is #372. It will go for auction on friday. At this point they haven't really given us a time frame but I'm thinking around 5pm. It will be on the velocity channel as well.

We should try to get a YouTube video clip that we can archive here.
