Cheap insurance but it can be a battle if something bad happens.
I would weigh the pros versus cons. My current insurance is $1200/yr and will lead to a battle if something happens. I am following a lead with Gallagher Speciality Car Insurance from another Type R community member. I will then compare with Hagerty, since Grundy under writers didn’t consider the ITR a collector.
My collector policy is through Grundy and my policy coverages are on page 2 of the thread. If you guys are having problems with them I suggest calling them.

americancollectors.com they offer guaranteed value. Pricewise and coverage was very comparable to Grundy. Choosing the 2500 miles/yr policy was the cheapest. Went from $1100/yr via a traditional ins. co down to $370/yr.
Someone else suggested this on ht for a twin cam del sol today. I have been reluctant to call hagerty or grundy because of the mixed responses here.

So as I end this call with Hagerty, I just want to post here that I’m very impressed. I postponed calling them because last year I thought I remembered reading that they did not recognize the Integra Type R as a collectible or modern classic. After many posts here I thought it was time to pick up the phone. I felt like I was talking with a fellow car collector on the other end of the phone. Superb customer service. Not to mention they beat out my current agency by almost double! Idk if I’m more excited about all the amenities or the subscription magazine.

Edit. $1023/year with an agreed $25,000 value. My driving record is shit. The last 3 years, decent though. I was paying $1700/year for Geico.

Quotes like vary by location and value of vehicle. My quote was considerably less, but Hagerty required multiple (unnecessary) hoops to complete.

Proposed mileage driven each year plays into the equation as well

I'm curious about the amenities you speak of signing with Hagerty--please share! :)

i went with american collectors insurance today. it was a very easy process with a guaranteed value of $20k i could have went higher but im ok with this vs what progressive would pay out for the car if something happened. i made a quote about 3 weeks ago and it was $496 for a 1 year policy with the $20k. i had made a previous quote through hagerty as well and it was well over twice the price so it was an easy choice for me. after a phone call and a few questions i have a policy with a guaranteed value of $20k for a solid price of $436.95 for the year... Very happy with the policy thanks for the recommendation...

Were there any mileage restrictions or otherwise noteworthy items? I need to respond back to Gallagher and Amica quotes.

they never said anything directly about mileage. they asked me how often i planned on driving the vehicle which i told them usually only about twice a month. they asked what/where i would be driving to and from i told them cars and coffee and other car meets and some pleasure driving. they asked me my mileage which i rounded to the nearest thousand at 75. they wanted proof of daily driver vehicles for all licensed drivers in the home. they wanted pics of front/back/left/right sides and a pic of interior and of it parked in my garage.
