Sort of big hurdle cleared today. I finally got the modifications complete to the engine harness that I needed to accommodate the JRSC. This includes relocation of the evap solenoid to the manifold. It came out pretty clean.

Just more minor updates: to installed the fuel filter, fuel supply hose, staged the throttle body to check the throttle cable, staged the intake arm.

Also tested some screw top terminals installed on the battery.

Just another engine bay shot.

Started getting hoses in place and connected.

The aging power steering mount right in the front was bothering me a bit so it got cleaned up and coated with 2k engine paint that was left over from painting the oil pan.

Got all the spacers, clips, and other OEM install bits for the glass in so have glass install scheduled for Monday morning. We’ll see how it goes.

Pulled the spoiler(wasn’t permanently on installed yet) to allow the best access to get the rear glass in.

Pulled the right side seat and gave it a pretty good ozone treatment to help eliminate a bit of lingering smoke smell.

Does the Jackson Racing SC require an FMU? I recall FMU's being a work around to tuning, but I could be mistaken.

Yes, for CARB legal setup there’s a “FMU” that’s a piggyback rising rate (5:1 based on manifold pressure) fuel pressure regulator. This is what’s on the firewall top, left of center. Additionally, there’s a relay(also on firewall, to minimize vibration, right of center on the clutch line bracket) that adds 15k ohm under boost to IAT so the ecu reads IAT as freezing. The relay adds some fuel to the injectors but I suspect the real goal is so that the ecu is going to be ok with rich mixture.

Most reviews I’ve seen say that it’s a terrible setup and even passing emissions testing can be hit and miss. I plan to give it a try, seemed less risky than trying to run the blower bypassed to complete testing.

Otherwise an s300 and RDX injectors will provide fueling as well as control of the WMI setup.
