I think the Koyo OEM replacement radiator is a copper core of some sort, similar what you get like a Denso replacement?

I noticed the ac line was really close, I wedged a cut rubber hose inbetween the fan/shroud and AC line, so far it has held up,

Probably doesn’t qualify as positive motion but I did buy 01-0386 a little something and figured I’d post since the right cover matters to many ITR owners.

This is the Coverking Autobody Armor ITR specific cover. It’s a soft fleece inside and a woven stretch fabric out, “waterproof”, breathable, ~$280 delivered. I can confirm water beads on the surface, and it fits mostly snug (mirrors are loose/generic pockets), no storage sack was provided.

I really miss working on my car and still hope it sees a lot of the track and streets but my current situation is that I just don’t have the personal time to spend on it.

Yeah, I was thinking about asking but I remember the last response when I asked.

One step at time. Cars will always be there. Life via family, friends, personal reset time, should come first.

Well it’s a small start but nice to even be nibbling around the edges again.

I updated the custom spare tire well cover in ABS so it would be sturdier than the corrugated poster board I initially used, riveted some small piano hinges so it will bend to clear the frame end bar. It’s still rough and needs an opening to lift at but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out so far.



Friday I dropped the rear frame end bar, lower rear subframe bar, and all three wiper arms of at a local shop to get blasted then powder coated satin black since they all need to be cleaned up.

Also got in to run some of the remaining wires up the right side. Tough going back through my notes trying to figure out what I was thinking but is good to be at it again.

Help me understand the ABS plastic cover a bit more. I need help understanding the photo & use case.

It’s really just a fancy replacement for the original spare tire cover so I won’t need to cut up the original to accommodate the WMI tank I’m mounting in the hatch.

It’s also bit stiffer since I won’t have the spare tire in the well for support, so I can pretend I’m maintaining a functional hatch.

The new abs cover attaches to the WMI tank deck (aluminum plate that’s bolted down behind the rear seats) via acrylic push in hinge so it can be removed, if need be, like the original cover. The hinges (under where you see the rivets) in the abs cover allows a portion to swing down as the cover is lifted where otherwise the cover wouldn’t easily clear the performance bar at the rear.

I’m super excited after successfully tackling one of the last functional issues I’m aware of with my 01-0386.

The dash support for the ashtray assembly clips were broken up so the ashtray assembly didn’t sit in place.

I wasn’t thrilled about trying to glue donor sections in since most glues are either too rigid and crack if there’s any flex, or too soft and won’t hold against the pressure of a steel spring clip through repeated cycles.

The solution was to cut the support section out of the LS dash and melt it into the ITR dash with an abs filler so the result is at least as strong as the original.

I also did some minor repair in the original shifter body seal and got it in place to help limit road noise, etc from coming up through an open gap around the shifter.
