It's possible except for the fact the car was in Colorado and now it's in Jersey. I'm not sure why the person selling it doesn't have pictures posted

I believe everyone is confused here.... There are 2 different 98's being shown here.

The original from 98 Copart auction is in CO. Just sold for crazy $$ IMO and hasn't moved yet. Nor is it back up for sale.

The crashed one that is currently for sale in NJ was PREVIOUSLY crashed in CO and sold and sent to NJ. It is now reposted as is with damage seen in HT post from July of '17.

I agree there is much confusion and misinformation going on here. The copart car is a different vehicle and is currently not for sale to my knowledge.

We are talking about two different 98’s. Both were on copart. The first one posted in this thread was for a flooded one in Houston and the second one was a wrecked one in Colorado.

That car is for sale in NJ now, the guy is trying to get 16k with no repairs done. The car has salvage history and a JDM motor,

You sure it's the same one? I didn't save the vin from that one. I have the VIN from the parts title one.
Different than the parts title one. VIN is JH4DC2316WS002811. He sent me the copart pics as well as one parked in a random parking lot. Bought in Colorado and shipped here. The car had previous salvage history too.

The flood car sold much higher than we probably all expected due to the fact it was one of the best examples of a complete factory correct CW Type R that didn't sustain a theft or wreck. I'm absolutely positive it's new owner knows how to title wash it to get her back on the road. It's flood history will stay with the car but getting a legit road worthy title isn't exactly rocket science. That being said it's still more than I would have paid but to each there own. Car looked very well cared for and was probably owned by a collector/enthusiast. Just was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Curious what the insurance valued it at when a total loss check was cut to the previous owner.

The fact that there has been 3 98 type r's for sale in this short of time is pretty rare. It used to happen often but not in recent years.

This looks like an easy fix I wouldn't of let the car go.

That OG Shift knob I absolutely love....
