I called 4Piston to ask about block work. They said they only will do the full blok rebuild with their aftermarket components, so there is not option for the oem pistons etc. that I want to use.
So I'm looking for a machine shop to do the block work. I will most likely be using the P30 pistons, which are in the mail from ICB. I want to get the rotating assembly balanced. If anyone has a recommendation let me know. Surely there are some good options in the Los Angeles area.

Check out Golden Eagle Manufacturing in socal. They do sleeve installs and have very high quality machine work as well. I am unsure if they will do the work you desire but it would be worth reaching out to them.

Oh great call! I've heard of them for sure, will look into it.

Just called Golden Eagle. Looks like they can definitely do the services I need for my block. Awesome! They're gonna email me a quote, and if looks good I should be able to drop off the parts this week. I'm excited!

Just dropped off the block at Golden Eagle! Also left rods, crank, and new Honda OEM P30 0.25 o/s pistons and rings. They will bore and hone the cylinders, step deck block, set the piston ring gaps, install ARP rod bolts, balance the rotating assembly including crankshaft, check wrist pins fit, also hot bath. They don't have a soda blaster situation which is too bad, but the block should still be pretty clean.

Now I'm just waiting on the machine shops to finish working on my head and block.
I ordered some new Honda oem bottom end bolts and parts, including water pump. Going to get the 4Piston ported oil pump.
For the head, I am pretty sure I will go with:
-Toda A2 cams (on my shelf already)
-Toda valve springs (on my shelf already)
-I guess Ferrea retainers?
-I think OEM ITR valves (Hopefully they will work with the 4P head, otherwise Ferrea)
-Cam gears not sure (Toda or OEM?)
-Timing belt probably OEM

Hopefully someone can confirm this, but I could have sworn I read this in other posts, but people may have had issues with the aluminum TODA cam gears? Or you had to watch out over them? I read about it somewhere, maybe Coolhandluke may have mentioned it before? But it kind of scared me of continuing to use my aluminum TODA gears and instead use the Spoon Gen 1 Cam gears I ended up picking up on FB marketplace a few years ago that were based on the OEM steel gears instead.
