Me too! 2021 marks 13yrs since I got my rebuild project running. I'm still finding projects.

I enjoy follow rebuild thread from yourself, aklackner, hondacbx, and others. They remind me of the long hours in the garage during my rebuild. I hold a great deal of respect for those that under take these massive rebuild projects.

I got the front suspension removed and put in separate containers.

Was the interior leaking water? Is that why the pass. side footwell carpet damaged?

Is that shift knob the original one? I thought the 1997 had the more traditional leather style like the ones found in the earlier NSX models and '99-'00 Civic Si. Not positive though.

Are you going to keep all the stock parts you take off the car and replace? Personally, I would.

It didn’t look like there was any water leaks. The carpet was trashed so it think the owner was just spilling things on the carpet and leaving it causing the rust. The outside of the floor is in good condition no rust. Your correct with the shift knob the 97’s came with the leather but I have been told the one I have was optional in 1997 as well as the pedal covers that came with my car. Someone can chime in if they know more about the shift knob and pedal covers. And yes I plan on using as many of the original parts as possible. Thanks.

Could be from tracking wet weather in and leaving the car closed up?
