Like I said before I would pay $10k for it and be ok with that. It sells tomorrow and I guess we'll see what it sells for. The flood history makes no difference to me if the car is clean and runs. A title is a piece of paper I used to care about what it said also used to care about mileage.

Another thing to remember even if the car got wet inside it's not a car packed with electronics like a newer European car. It would be an easy fix and you could fix it by visiting a junkyard pretty easy.

Wasn't the reserve met on the last auction at $10500?

I'm not sure I think I remember the pre-bid being at $12.6k before the actual auction started.

It was in a flood but looked like a very solid car. The issue was the title it was for parts only but getting it on the road in another state is possible.

Just in case anyone is interested in what happened to this car,, it is alive and registered in California now. According to the Carfax, it went from TX, to KY right after the auction. Then 1.5 years later water damage was reported again while it was in California.

It's in Modesto now since Oct 2019

Interesting catching water damage again. What event could have occurred in California ? I don’t know if I posted this but the title can never be registered in Texas again.

I'm wondering if that's why it went to KY and then CA. It's obviously registered now, so whatever they did, it worked!

Yep Kentucky to wash the title. Search for their red titles
