Out of curiosity where did you find an oem tank I couldn’t find the oem 00-01 anywhere
I agree.PeteTheCarFreak wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 5:22 pm ...Can't wait to see it at Type-R Expo if you bring it!!
You chose wisely on replacing the tank straps. That is a common item many overlook in maintenance. One breaks, none the wiser, until the second one breaks...then one has to replace their gas tank.Insidiouseg6 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 10:15 pm Exactly! Thanks bud. Went mountain biking near Laguna seca today and saw a few cars doing some laps and it made me wanna be out there!
Got a little work done today....
New OEM tank and hardware to replace the originals....
Only made sense. New tank, all new hardware to match! I did break the over vent valve on the old tank and it looks to be discontinued so I will be on the hunt for one if anyone has a sparecoolhandluke wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 3:36 pmI agree.PeteTheCarFreak wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 5:22 pm ...Can't wait to see it at Type-R Expo if you bring it!!

It's a shame Honda is discontinuing so many parts, especially when the economy has been strong 10yrs, enabling many to rebuild Acura/Honda's. I will ask a few sources to see if they have this piece.Insidiouseg6 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 11:32 am ...I did break the over vent valve on the old tank and it looks to be discontinued so I will be on the hunt for one if anyone has a spare
Appreciate it! I actually found one after a couple of trips to the local pick-n-pull. I had tried a 99 Integra initially only to find out that it didn't have the over vent valve. Found a 00 Integra today and it had one in good shape! For reference In case anyone needs one, they are only on the 00-01 year Integras.coolhandluke wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 12:52 pmIt's a shame Honda is discontinuing so many parts, especially when the economy has been strong 10yrs, enabling many to rebuild Acura/Honda's. The red isn't my style but I like the look of the wiring for a more track/race oriented car.
Do you have pictures to help others identify the '00-01 over vent valve?Insidiouseg6 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 10:04 pm ...I actually found one after a couple of trips to the local pick-n-pull.
