:SOLD!!!:
Never thought I would do it but I simply don’t use it anymore, maybe it’s because it’s AZ and it’s hotter than satans asshole right now but I don’t have any motivation to use it anymore.
I’m a single parent now, and my parenting schedule with my almost 10 year old makes doing track events exceedingly hard and I think putting an FK8 in my garage would provide more fun and excitement for my son and I going into the future.
I do not need to sell this, insurance is cheap and it sits in my garage. It doesn’t leak, and still starts right up. Still has AC and PS, I have most of the original al parts. So, here’s the specs:
1998 Integra Type-R badge 98-0811.
-JDM B18C-R
-Mugen Pil Pan
-skunk2 radiator with dual slim fans
-Original Transmission, rebuilt maybe 5k miles ago with all new OEM bearings, seals, as well as 1-4 carbon synchros, and 1-2 and 3-4 hardened sliders, also have a JDM 4.7 FD I never installed. OEM LSD. Transmission is butter and one of the best parts on these cars.
-typical intake(short)
-Comptech Header 4-2-1
-OEM Cat
-RSR Ex Mag exhaust(best sounding exhaust on these IMO)
-fidanza 8 lb flywheel I never installed(new)
-Fortune Auto 500 series coilovers, only ran 2-3 events on them V5.
-replaces all bushings with hard race a couple years ago, no urethane.
-OEM sway bars front and rear
-interior is all stock except
-skunk2 weighted shift knob
-autopower 4 point roll bar(all rear interior still fits including seats only side panels are cut to fit the rear speakers were removed and still have them)
-Sparco Pro2000 II drivers seat(still have the OEM, it’s a bit worn but no tears, wrapped in plastic bags)
-Crow 5 point cam lock harnesses(purchased new, not used)
-a/m stereo BT and USB only(who listens to CDs anymore?)
-carpet is a bit worn, has ITR floor mats also worn
-2 sets of wheels
-15x8 Slipstreams with 3 event old 205/50/15 R888R in tire totes(will keep those though)
-16x7 Gunmetal Volk CE28s
Short list of uninstalled parts not already stated
-Autometer DC2 cluster bezel with 2 holes for gauges
-Autometer oil pressure
-Autometer water temp
-used OEM lip, freshly painted CW, missing 1 tab. Bought it and never even pulled it out of the box
-extra set of ITR spindles
-ORIGINAL VIN matching block and head. Disassembled, no pistons or cams, crank is good, prime for a rebuild
-rear wing gurney flap
-OEM Factory Service Manual(excellent condition)
-OEM USDM P73 OBD2A ECU(has JDM ECU in it)
-new set of rotors and Hawk HT10 front pads
-other misc stuff I’m probably forgetting
-all in all I love this car and no doubt will miss it. Many in this group know this car, it’s one of a handful of long-haul expo ITRs(2000 miles or more)
-it is not a trailer or garage queen, it has been driven and it shows, if you’re looking for a museum car this ain’t it.
-I have owned this car since 2012, I’m the 3rd owner and it has a CLEAN title and has spent its entire life in the southwest, so there is ZERO rust.
-mileage is 185k on the chassis
-prices seem to be everywhere on these but one thing is for sure, they will continue to go up. If you want to buy it, beat on it for a couple years then restore it, no doubt it will hold its value.
-As I said, I do not need to sell, I work in the collision industry and planned to freshen it up in the future, but with a divorce, single parenthood and probably finishing my masters degree in the next couple years it just doesn’t make sense. I’m not one of those who thinks these should be sitting in garages and wiped with a diaper.
-so the price is 20k all in, if I take less I’ll regret it. Or if you have an FK8, I don’t care what year or color, or mileage(less than 60k miles please though) I’d be interested in trading and will put up to 10k on top.
-I’m not on here often but this community has been amazing and I’ll never leave.
