Ok I’m pretty sure I know the answer but would like to confirm if anyone knows for a fact. Did all years of the USDM have the plastic tray in between the bottom rear cushions? If so has anyone seen what the USDM rear seats are going for when they pop up? Also is there any difference between the upper rear seats JDM vs USDM? I have search and found a lot of different posts throughout the years but hoping to get a firm answer from here. Thanks

All Usdm Type R rear seats are the same throughout the 4 year production run. They all have the center console tray on the bottom seat. JDM and Usdm share the same upper portion just the bottom s are different. They all started out as black. They fade to a blue/purple color over time from UV damage.

Also the JDM seat bottoms mounting is different. Usdm cars have a brace that they clip into where the JDM cars are similar to early civic and possibly 94-95 integra. Seat bottom cushion is slightly taller than usdm rear seats as well.

Good info. I had assumed the seat mountings were the same for both lowers, though that said the backs mountings are slightly different between the JDM and the European spec. Years ago I found a set in a scrapyard that were less faded than my JDM ones, but they wouldn't fit. Apparently some have gotten them to fit.

Although mine's a JDM over the years I've added bits and bobs from non JDM cars(I kept all the original stock parts though), like the EDM clear rear indicator clusters, EDM rear bumper foglight and a NOS US centre console(with NOS badge for the Acura goodness :) ). Make it more a world domestic market car. :) I'd always hankered after the USDM rear seat bottom with the plastic tray, but I'd say that time has passed for me to find one of those. Plus I'd prefer if any showed up went to US guys to keep their cars original.
