Bought 551 as a salvage car back in '08ish, hit front/rear, parted to a bare chassis. I rebuilt from multiple caRs, replaced rear subframe, R titled and daily driven.

Sold as a roller on black JDM 16s (originally yoshis IIRC)with some red strip del sol seats to a guy out of New York in 2013ish post divorce..... Anyone know where it ended up? Spent alot of time on this chasis and id buy it back if its around.

Hey D, this car/thread brings back memories of your rebuild thread and rear subframe jig. I would fill out a request to see if the community registry has updates:

Our records currently stop after your time repairing it. We could run the VIN again though.

Let's brain storm. If you have the VIN we could try to coordinate around a community project I'm working towards to document remaining unknown VIN's & badge numbers for DC2 ITR's.

I don't have any information on this chassis yet.

If I find anything, I will let you know.

VIN is needed.

So, in this case... i only knew ITR 551s number after Jay did the lookup back in the day, so... not sure if she meets the requirements for you. JH4DC2317WS003627

To set appropriate expectations, this early days. I have zero coding experience, but this is a project that motivates me to learn. With your VIN I could target a DMV search for any available updates. I can't promise whether we will find anything or whether I will start and finish the project, but that's the plan.
